Questions and answers
Frequently asked questions
Are the tools free to use?
Yes. All tools on this page are free and completely non-binding. You do not need to provide contact information to use them. If you want a concrete purchase offer afterwards, you can continue with your registration number and mileage — that is also free, and you decide whether to accept.
How accurate are the estimates?
The estimates are built on official list prices from OFV, vehicle data from the Norwegian Public Roads Administration, and market data calibrated against advertised prices. They are accurate for typical cars, but they remain estimates: condition, equipment level, and local demand can move the price in both directions. A concrete offer always requires an individual assessment.
Do you store what I enter?
No. What you enter in the calculators is only stored locally in your browser, so you don't have to re-enter your car when switching tools. No information is sent to Sonja until you choose to request an offer.
Which cars do the tools work for?
The tools cover passenger cars registered in Norway. A registration number lookup automatically fetches brand, model, model year, and fuel type from the Norwegian Public Roads Administration. If we cannot find an official list price for the model, we show a typical value trajectory for the segment instead — clearly labeled.
